At this year\u2019s K trade fair in Dusseldorf, three systems from MeSys GmbH will be exhibited for non-radiometric web measurement of weight and thickness of flat web materials in Hall 10, Stand F03. With the patented ultrasound technology of the USMX 200, the specialist has a measuring system for the inline measurement of different materials. The measuring range of USMX-200 is from 0 to 1.000 \u2013 1.200 gsm. But the overall range of USMX (200 and 500) is from 0 to 4.000 gsm and with an accuracy of 0.5 percent by very thin materials a value is achieved. With a scanning frequency of 100 measurements per second even at high web speeds even up to 650 meters per minute, the USMX 200 is suitable for a multitude of applications. In addition, MeSys presents with the array version of the USMX 200 an inline weight control with 100 percent product coverage. Also in this variant, a non-contact, non-radiometric real-time measurement is offered, which is suitable for all materials. The robust PPS-200 completes the trio of exhibits and represents the ideal system for online thickness and weight measurement. As a portable grammage measuring device for laboratory production lines, this solution is predestined for small web widths and the measurement of fixed points.
